Country music possesses a really powerful ability to connect not only the hearts of individual fans but to our beautiful nation, the pearl of Africa. It’s the medium in which a lot of realized while listening because It’s about real people and real lives and if something’s on folks’ hearts, you can trust the rhythm of country music to meet you there. Here in Uganda the traditions are deep rooted and shared through generations of fans, And on Easter Monday 18th April 2022 the country roads led us to Emerald Hotel, Kampala where it was hosted. The one Country Music Festival presented to fans by Country Vocals (The Leading country music band in uganda who are also set to release their new album later in mid June). They featured other country artists and music bands that’s to say; Restless Strings, The Freedom Band, And Nshuti Mbabazi
As country fans we believe in bringing people of all ages together to provide a positive experience through music. From the very young to the young at heart. Many folks here say like country music because it is what they listened to when they were a kid. If you were a child who grew up listening to kind of music, chances are the sound and style of the music will bring back memories.
As you know all folks who attended have a similar affection for country music, and this made the overall event that much more fun. You could feel It’s a real deal to be part knowing the overall sound and energy got people really excited, happy, and stress-free Which is different when it comes to other Music genres. The facts are nothing allows an escape from everyday life and the stress and issues that will come up throughout the course of a day like country music. The sad songs can help people because they are often relatable. Many of the things that country music singers sing and write songs about are things you may have been through in your life. Whether it is a bad breakup, an issue with a friend, a streak of bad luck, or any sad situation that has come up, the country music artists do a great job of putting the lyrics together in a way that can really suck you in and this suits on what fans heard or listened, danced to when songs like(Country Roads, Rocking Years, Long Line Of Love, 4 Days Late, These Arms, Jamaican Farewell, I’m Gonna Miss Her, You Move Me, Blaze Of Glory, Little Bitty, Nobody Answers When I Call Your Name, I Hope You Dance, From This Moment, I Won’t Let Go, Give Me The Rose, Shot Full Of Love, Crazy Heart, Vertical Expression, Day Time Friends, Wagon Wheel, Love Can Build A Bridge, I Do, Sing Me Back Home, Spanish Angels, I’ll Try, I’d Choose You Again, Far Gone Dreams, Big Black Horse, Walk Of Life, Islands In The Stream, The Older I Get, Don’t Let Me Cross Over, I Will Remember You, Heroes And Friends, Coat Of Many Colors, Achy Breaky Heart, Your New Boyfriend Is Ugly, You Can Depend On Me, Livin’ On Love, Live, Laugh Love, Troubadour, Stuck On You Etc) were performed on that day and many folks were seen singing along relating to other people and seeing their lives in a different way.
As for country music fans in Uganda are to live to remember this day, wonderful memories were made.
